The report noted: "The award was accepted by City Mayor Rex Gatchalian at the closing of the 40th Philippine Business Conference and Expo. Valenzuela City bested 34 other highly urbanized cities." The report explained that PCCI's Most Business-Friendly award is given to local government units "which have been successful at creating an environment that is conducive to business." The PCCI judges LGUs based on trade, investment and tourism promotions; public-private sector partnership; medium, small and micro enterprise development; quality management systems and innovation; inter-local government relation; and quality customer service. |
